Eligibility
Incoming sophomore or junior at a New York City high school (public or private)
Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and potential

Bridge Fellow Program Requirements
  • Participate in overnight Orientation Retreat (late August)
  • Participate in monthly general meetings (5:00pm – 7:30pm, usually in Manhattan)
  • Participate in monthly committee meetings (5:00pm – 7:00pm) and special project
  • Attend the Annual Youth Summit held in early June
  • Attend at least one YouthBridge community service project (held on a Sunday)

Application Requirements:

  • Contact information and parent/guardian consent
  • Passport photo
  • Three brief essays (about 250 words)
  • Letter of recommendation from teacher, guidance counselor, or other youth professional
  • Interview upon receipt of completed application
