I, Jia Wei (Kevin) Shi, am a seventeen year-old senior attending Stuyvesant High School. I am an optimistic person, and in the future I hope to keep my priorities straight, maintain my grades and my relationships with my family and friends, and have fun in the things I do. I also want to be a more outgoing person and improve my public speaking skills, which encouraged me to join Youthbridge.

Over the summer I had my first work experience: working in Assemblyman Jimmy Meng’s office in Flushing. Other than hanging out my friends, watching movies, and playing sports, I enjoy extra curricular activities such as being on the Stuyvesant Ultimate Frisbee team. I hope to play a big role in the team this year, and have a great time doing so. I am also in the layout department of my school’s newspaper, The Spectator. I also participate in various clubs in my school such as Key Club and Cure the Kids Club. My academic interests include mathematics and computer programming. I want to have a great senior year, and get into a college that I want to go to and major in business.
