My name is Magdolyn Kawas but my friends call me Maggie. I am fifteen years old and I am a Palestinian Muslim American. I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. In my family I have two younger sisters and one older brother; their names are Nadine, Aber, and Rami. I go to John Dewey High School and I am in the 10 th grade. My favorite class in school is math and my favorite thing to learn about is psychology. Throughout Junior High School, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I always manage to excel in all my classes. I believe that education is top priority in a young person's life.           

I am an active member of the Muslim Youth Center located in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. I help to plan and organize their events. Also I am a member of the Girl Scouts of America. In Girl Scouts I do community service such as cleaning up Central Park and plant flowers around my community. I also help my mother, who is a Girl Scout Leader, with her troop members. I lead activities with the girl scouts and support them in what they need to accomplish. For fun I take pictures and hang out with my friends.
