Rachel Lit is the Program Director for YouthBridge–NY at the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. In this role she works with diverse groups of students to foster meaningful cross-cultural dialogue and help them develop leadership skills. She comes to this position from a career spent in the New York City nonprofit industry, working to advance various causes from climate justice, to Social Security reform, to requiring Holocaust education in schools.
Originally from Massachusetts, she completed her undergraduate studies at Sarah Lawrence College before earning a Master’s degree in Social Justice and Education from University College London.
When not working on YouthBridge, you can find Rachel strolling Prospect Park, practicing softball, or most likely spending time with one of her cats.
